LANGSTON HAWKINS

Bio

Langston Hawkins is an eccentric and eclectic blend of many different styles and sounds, all combined into one unique package. Growing up in a large, tight-knit family, he listened to a variety of musical styles, which helped form his wide musical taste. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather and nana, who were both musically inclined, he found inspiration in their legacy. His grandfather was a lieutenant in the Air Force who served through Korea and Vietnam and played the saxophone and bugle throughout most of his life. His nana was a soprano singer in the church who sang for most of her life as well.

Following his passing, Langston felt inspired to pick up an instrument of his own, influenced by alternative, electronic, and hip-hop subcultures. Picking up the guitar when he was only thirteen, he found what his purpose in life was. He stuck with it through hard times and picked up other instruments such as piano, drums, bass, and more, while also developing his singing abilities. He accomplished many things he set out to do because of his resilience and perseverance.

Eventually becoming a solo artist in late 2025, he hopes to convey his emotions and struggles through well-written songs in hopes of connecting with people who are in his shoes and encouraging them to keep pushing forward.
